PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

September 15 2025 to September 21 2025

Monday September 15

International Day of Democracy

The International Day of Democracy is being celebrated around the world. It's an opportunity to reinforce the importance of free speech, human rights, and civil liberties. And as we move towards a link between Venus (love) and Mars (action) we can all do our bit to create more understanding and acceptance. Generous-hearted gestures have more impact than we think. It only takes a smile to brighten someone's day. If we look for ways to spread joy, we'll find lots of them.

Tuesday September 16

A Sense of Harmony

When Venus and Mars connect (which they do today) they produce a powerful blend of cosmic energy. When love and passion combine with desire and action, we've got lots of reasons to sing. And since it happens to be the anniversary of glam rock star Marc Bolan's death, and the late, great B.B. King's birthday, we're spoilt for choice over songs. If you tap into the energy and focus on what you enjoy, you'll create a sense of harmony that others can join. Share the love!

Wednesday September 17

Tell Your Story

The Mercurial flavour to the week intensifies today. As the winged messenger links with Saturn, the Cosmic Teacher, it's an ideal time to define boundaries and commit to plans. We can take the example set by Davy Crockett the legendary frontiersman, politician and soldier who became a folk hero. Also known for his story-telling, he was born on this day back in 1786. By standing up for what we believe, and not giving up, we can create narratives of our own lives that we'll be proud of.

Thursday September 18

The Wizard of Oz

There are lots of reasons why The Wizard of Oz is a classic. The endearing characters are impossible not to love. Plus, its universal themes of self-discovery, friendship, and courage are timeless; they resonate across the generations. It's hard to believe that it premiered on this day in NYC back in 1939! Today, as Mercury (ideas) enter Libra, it will be easy to find common ground with new, interesting characters. And if you look for a yellow-brick road, or a rainbow, you might find one.

Friday September 19

Prepare for Adventure

The first balloon trip across the Atlantic wasn't an easy journey. Back in 1978, the three pilots of Double Eagle II endured six miserable days of being pounded by the Jet Stream's sub-zero temperatures and freezing rain. Eek! With Mercury trining Uranus and Pluto (all in air signs), there are mysteries and adventures in store this weekend. But with Venus entering earthy Virgo, we can keep our feet (metaphorically at least) on Terra Firma, and confidently deal with any surprises.

Saturday September 20

Your Weekly Horoscope

Twice a year, we arrive at the Equinox, when the days and nights are of equal length. They represent more than just a moment in time; the cosmic energy, which coincides with a change of season, extends a few days either side of the main date. This year, with the Sun's move into Libra preceded by a New Moon, it's a chance to reflect on the last six months and redress imbalances so that going forwards, our plans are fuelled by inspiration - which means they stand a greater chance of success.

Sunday September 21
